Wrentham's Select Board voted 4-0 to sign the warrant for the November 9 Annual Fall Town Meeting. Chair Chris Gallo presided over the roughly seven-minute remote meeting with Members James Anderson and Roy Lamothe and Vice Chair Michelle Rouse; Clerk Bill Harrington was absent. Town Manager Michael King told the board a Civil Service rule barring police exam candidates over age 32 has cost the police chief "interesting candidates" from non-Civil Service towns, and Town Meeting will vote on repealing it.
Director of Planning and Economic Development Shane O'Brien said the Planning Board revised a data center warrant article to drop moratorium language in favor of a definition that would effectively bar data centers in town "for now," citing infrastructure and noise concerns. Anderson called the session "the quickest meeting I think I've ever had."
