Wrentham Select Board calls June 15 special election on Roderick Elementary debt exclusion

Wrentham Select Board unanimously approves June 15 special election for Roderick Elementary School debt exclusion. The five-member board voted 5-0 to call the election and approve ballot language seeking voter authorization to exempt from Proposition 2 1/2 the amounts required to pay for bonds for planning, designing, constructing, equipping, and furnishing a new elementary school at 120 Taunton Street. The board also voted 4-1 to opt out of vote-by-mail provisions for the election, with Clerk Bill Harrington voting no.

In other business, the board appointed Teresa Guglielmi to the Board of Registrars and appointed three members to the Housing Production Plan Steering Committee.
