Wrentham Public Works Building Committee votes unanimously to pursue renovation over new construction. The committee voted 6-0 on April 6 to eliminate a new storage shed option and an addition-to-main-building option, narrowing focus to existing-building renovation. Member Michael King moved to eliminate the addition; member Chris Gallo moved to eliminate the storage shed option.
The committee then approved a detailed renovation scope including roof replacement, window replacement, electrical system upgrades, fire alarm system replacement, and mezzanine demolition, while excluding interior lighting upgrades, new gas heating units, and bathroom plumbing renovation. The committee directed Helene Karl Architects to prepare bidding documents. The committee reconvenes May 6, 2026.
