Wrentham Council on Aging swears in newest member

Wrentham Council on Aging appoints Thompson, addresses service gaps. The Board of Selectmen approved Cindy Thompson's appointment to the Council on Aging vacancy, and she was sworn in at the April 21 meeting led by Chair Kendra Farling. Six council members discussed resource needs at the Wrentham Senior Center, which operates on approximately $164,000 from the town's roughly $47 million budget.
Seniors now represent approximately 25 percent of Wrentham's population, nearly double the 2020 Census figure. The council is considering adding a part-time outreach assistant and a third part-time van driver to support expanded programming.
