Wrentham Sweatt Fund Advisory Committee approves $50,000 in grants for municipal departments and nonprofits in 2025-26. The five-member committee, comprising Chris Roman, Greg Pazurchek, Joyce Baldyga, Shila Duffy, and Bob Carr, voted unanimously to approve major grants including $9,999 for holiday lighting, $9,216.33 for fire department water and ice rescue equipment, and $8,000 for Council on Aging Senior Center programs. The committee declined a $9,999 Recreation Commission request for an ATV vehicle, recommending alternate funding sources, and rejected a $1,200 Public Health Nurse request for blood pressure monitoring equipment, voting 4-1 against the purchase after noting an outside grant had already been obtained for that purpose.
