Wrentham zoning board approves reduced parking for South Street restaurant. The Zoning Board of Appeals unanimously granted variances allowing the project to operate with 24 parking spaces instead of 36 and position parking within a 25-foot setback rather than 50 feet. Chair James Lawrence and board members found lot shape created a hardship justifying relief.
Applicant representatives Michael Spillane, Esq., Nicole Duquette of McClure Engineering, and Mark Raymond of DDO New England LLC presented a queue study showing six vehicles maximum at peak time, noting comparable regional facilities maintain similar reduced parking. The Planning Board is conducting a third-party review of the traffic study.
