Select Board members will face off in a pie-eating contest Saturday as the town's summer recreation season continues.

TOWN -- The town beach remains open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Aug. 23, according to announcements read at the July 14 Select Board meeting.

COMMUNITY -- Selectmen Jim Anderson and Bill Harrington are set to compete in a pie-eating contest at Big Apple Farm on Saturday at noon. The two announced the friendly competition during the Select Board's July 14 meeting, inviting residents to come watch. "The gloves are off," Harrington said of his rival for the contest.
