Select Board Accepts Red Bird Farm Conservation Gift, Fills Zoning and Disability Boards

WRENTHAM — Select Board unanimously accepts 72.971-acre Red Bird Farm conservation gift. The donation from Hawthorne Brook LLC and Salvatore Circle LLC, comprising five open space parcels at Taunton Street locations, is dedicated to conservation of natural resources and passive recreation under state law and will be held by the Wrentham Conservation Commission. In related votes, the board appointed five new members to town boards: James Lawrence as full member of the Zoning Board of Appeals; Rachel Hill as associate member; Jon McAlister and Sean Barry to the Zoning Board; and Barbara Gillmeister and Joseph Abely to the Commission on Disability.
The board also accepted the resignation of Shawn Gough, who served on the Zoning Board for nearly 20 years.
