Planning Board bans data centers from all zoning districts
Wrentham Planning Board prohibited data centers from all zoning districts.
Planning Board · Meeting of October 7, 2026
Wrentham Planning Board prohibited data centers from all zoning districts. The Board voted 7-0 to recommend Town Meeting amendments defining "Data Center" as a commercial use while designating it "Not Permitted" in all districts, rejecting a temporary moratorium approach after Town Counsel advised it was unnecessary. Director Shane O'Brien presented the zoning options.
The Board continued public hearings on the Arbor Inn Motel hotel project at 900 Washington Street and a Taco Bell restaurant at Wrentham Premium Outlets to October 21, 2026, and directed staff to draft a decision on a cold storage facility expansion at 20 & 20R Kenneth Miner Drive.
