Historical Commission approves online applications, moves to fund Rochambeau signage.

WRENTHAM — The Wrentham Historical Commission unanimously approved digitization of applications and forms and authorized funds for a Walker B. Mason Memorial Plaque sign post on the town common. Chair Gina Silarais led discussion of a potential Declaration of Independence reading event at the museum or gazebo, with the commission investigating ownership of a document the Original Congregational Church allegedly transferred to the Town Clerk.

Member Roy Van will resume work on Rochambeau Monument interpretive signage; the commission supports a Community Preservation Committee funding request for Old Fiske Museum roof repairs. Member Bill Jones reported a leak and furnace failure at the museum, prompting proposals for storage improvements.
