Fiske Library board approves December minutes, defers policy votes.

Fiske Public Library - Board of Trustees · Meeting of January 6, 2026

WRENTHAM — Fiske Public Library Board of Trustees unanimously approved December minutes and deferred policy votes to February. Library Director Kim Shipala reported that Fiske represents 0.75 percent of Wrentham's municipal budget against a typical library share of one percent, and flagged aging collection materials as a budget concern. The board reviewed a draft combined Computer Resources Policy merging separate computer usage and internet policies; formal adoption will occur at the February meeting after a clean version circulates for review.

Town administrators raised liability concerns about a proposed community fridge at its original location; a new site elsewhere in town is being pursued.
