Conservation Commission delays resource delineation, eyes gas expansion

WRENTHAM — Conservation Commission continues delineation hearing, hears gas company expansion proposal. The Conservation Commission voted unanimously 7-0-0 to continue a resource-area delineation hearing at Kenneth Miner Drive to February 12, 2026, pending receipt of a state permit and peer review from Beals and Thomas; Rick Goodreau of United Consultants represented applicant Dennis Brolin of Green 1A, LLC. The commission also heard Algonquin Gas Enhancement's request to survey conservation properties abutting Whipple Brook and Hales Pond for a proposed pipeline expansion from 16 to 36 inches; Chair Leo Immonen stated opposition, and members requested company attendance at an upcoming meeting.
The commission unanimously approved its December 4 minutes.
