Commission on Disability focuses on recruitment and public outreach

Commission on Disability · Meeting of March 18, 2026

Wrentham Commission on Disability aims to boost membership through expanded community outreach. The five-member panel, chaired by Mary Dobek, met with the Council of Aging and Metro West Center for Independent Living to discuss coordination, with members Joseph Abely and Barbara Gillmeister scheduled to join a May 13 virtual meeting on independent living services. Chair Dobek and Vice-Chair Rebecca Zitomer were interviewed for an upcoming newspaper feature highlighting the Commission's work and membership recruitment needs.

The Commission plans a resource table and giveaways at Wrentham Day in September.
