Commission on Disability appoints new treasurer, pursues state grant

Wrentham Commission on Disability appoints new treasurer, plans grant application. The four-member commission unanimously elected Joseph Abely as treasurer in a 4-0 vote. Present were Chair Mary Dobek, Vice Chair Rebecca Zitomer, Clerk Jane O'Friel, and Member Abely.

The commission discussed pursuing state ADA grant funding for accessibility improvements identified in a prior evaluation and explored establishing an annual scholarship for students with disabilities at King Philip Regional High School. Guest speaker Lynn Adams of the Wrentham Recreation Department described collaboration opportunities on ADA projects.
