WRENTHAM — Board of Assessors approves abatements; releases $500,000 to overlay surplus. The Board of Assessors unanimously approved abatements for two real estate and two personal property tax applications in its April 30 meeting. Chairman Thomas DiPlacido and Member Irene Levesque voted unanimously to release $500,000 of excess overlay to the fiscal 2026 Overlay Surplus Account.
The board also voted unanimously to request documentation from Lake Pearl Park Inc. to support the company's application for enrollment in the Chapter 61B Land program for fiscal year 2027, with Vice Chair Edward O'Neil endorsing the request on May 4, 2026.
